Was called by Eric trying to sale me truck tires while my truck was being worked on. Truck was kept overnight without a phone call explaining the status. Called the next day around 1pm
(they close at 4pm on Saturdays )for the status after telling Eric who I was and that I was calling about the status of my truck, he put me on hold for the longest so I hung up and drove to the store. When I got there my truck was ready but no one called to notify me. Poor communication. Eric, the next time a customer calls don't ignore the call if anything call the customer back. I told you who I was and you had my phone number. You took the time while my truck was being worked on to try and sale me 4 brand new tires but you could not give me a call to let me know that my truck was ready. (Poor customer service). shame,shame. What was the purpose of making an appointment 3 days in advance? When Tire discounters calls a customer the phone number on the caller ID list the number as being (PRIVATE). I didn’t feel comfortable having them “fix” it so I said I’d come take it to someone else and after I picked it back up they were grinding like they had no pads on them. I almost died going home because my car wouldn’t stop. I had an appointment on February 10 at 8:00 for an oil change. The day before the appt my check engine light came on. So I explained during my appt that my check engine light was on and asked them to check it out along with doing the oil change. I waited 2 hours and didn't heard anything, so I called the the store for an update. The gentlemen said my car was ready. I asked about the check engine and he said he would have to talk to the technician and he would call me back. I waited another 2 hours and didn't hear anything, so I went back to the store. I explained to the gentlemen behind the counter that I would like a update on my car. He said I thought I told you your car was ready for pickup. I said I've been waiting on you to contact me about why the check engine light was on. So he remembered and apologized and asked the technician to come and talk to me. The technician (not Avery) explained to me that with 132,000 miles that all of my fluids need to be changed. I said I went to Oreilly the night before and had them pull the check engine code and it showed multiple misfires. So what does multiple misfires have to do with having my fluids changed? He then said my spark plugs need to be changed. I said I had Nissan do that last year. He said "we suggest you take it back to Nissan then". Thanks for the recommendation. I will gladly take it some where else that is more helpful. Update: I ended up taking it 1/4 mile down the road (not Nissan) and they where more than willing to help diagnose/repair my issue. I bought 4 tires and had an alignment. Dalton did an outstanding job placing the four tires on and performing the front end alignment. Jason is so honest and we are lucky to have him as a managerin Murfreesboro, TN. Two reputable tire companies I had done business with prior had sold me two wrong size tires for my Toyota XLE Corolla.( Size my car needed was 215. Instead I was sold the size 245. Jason pointed it out to me. He saved me from transmission problems with the wrong size tire on my car. The tires were 245 instead of being the size of 215. I took both tires back to the companies I had done prior business and I was reimbursed. They stated their tech must have had a bad day. Thanks Jason for exemplary customer service and saving me future further problems with my car. You have my business totally for both cars. I then proceeded to just get my oil changed and nothing else. I took it to my regular, trusted mechanic and all I needed was my front left wheel bearing and everything else was fine. I hoped to get it repaired quickly. I've plugged my own damaged tires before, so I was growing impatient. It took over 10 minutes to get checked in, then it was almost an hour before the technician showed me their discovery of a shallow slice in the sidewall (not covered by std warranty.) I drove down the street to the nearest auto parts store and spent $9 on a can of fix-a-flat. I appreciated the honest advice of the staff. I chose Tire Discounters over a big box store because I prefer quick in-and-out service. While I didn't get that, I'm pleased that the guys were honest enough to tell me what they would try first in my situation. We were highly satisfied with everything from pricing to wait time. The next morning I woke up to a flat front tire and low back tire and didn't know what to do. I immediately called the store and they asked my location so they could send someone out to fill up my tire to get me back to the store. An hour later I was on my way with one of the employees following me all the way back to the store. I had my two kids (aged 3 and 1) with me, and they loved the kids waiting area. Even when their patience was wearing thin and they were exploring all the lobby had to offer, the staff was very understanding and did not seem to mind their energy. The service writer kept me informed the whole time. They had complimentary bottled water and bags of chips, a large screen tv, wi-fi, Internet connections, play area for kids, and the place was very clean with comfortable seating.
