I told him I only wanted Michelin tires nothing but Michelin specifically. he said OK he can order them and would the continental Michelin tires be OK I said yeah that would be good. If you could get four of those I would take them. So he proceeded to order the tires and today which is Saturday, December 9, 2023. Jake text me and said my tires were in. My husband took my car to them and his experience was not great. He waited 25 minutes for someone to wait on him but when a woman came in, they ask her what she needed right away. When my husband got my car back it had three continental tires and one Michelin that was mine. I had already given them a $200 deposit for my Michelin tires. Jake proceeded to tell my husband that the continental tires were Michelin tires which is totally wrong. Plus they charged more for what I was told and did not take off my $200 deposit , I called them back and talked to Jeremy which he confirmed that continental tires are not Michelin. Jake even confirmed to my husband that continental tires were Michelin. My husband came home. I called again to find out what the heck is going on and then I don’t not want continental tires. This time I forget who I talked to, and he said he would call me back. Well, Jake called me back and apologize for being wrong so I asked him what was the plan? What were they gonna do to fix this? The only thing that he told me was the computer Is slow. I said, what does it have to do with plan to fix a situation? He said I just got back from break and I was just told to give you a courtesy call and the people he worked with informed him that he was wrong about the continental tires. My husband took the car back. My wife and I were on a cross country road trip when one of our tires went flat. We made it to Tire Discounters in Smyrna and were really lucky to be helped by Jake. He empathized with our situation, squeezed us in for a new tire (when they were already very busy), kept us updated on how much longer it would be, and was very polite and professional. He was doing all that while also running around and helping out other customers. All employees seemed great, but I wanted to give a special shout out to Jake. He was incredible and we would go to him personally for all tire needs if we lived in the area. Seriously, give this man a raise, promotion, or whatever to keep him around. I proceeded to have the new tire “replaced.” It was closing time and I didn’t closely inspect the tires before I left. Later this evening I got back into the car and the tire pressure light came on again. Upon closer inspection, I found the tire with the nail in it is still on and they removed a brand new two month old tire. It is hard for me to believe they did not notice they were removing a brand new tire. The man who initially identified the nail in the tire even “checked” the pressure of every tire before I left. Again, it was closing time. Now they are closed and will be closed tomorrow. I am stranded for the rest of the weekend and on Mother’s Day. I am EXTREMELY frustrated and very upset as this is a major inconvenience. Got there about 4:30 and dropped it off expecting to pick it up Saturday morning. To my surprise I was informed it was almost ready at 6:30. Drove to Smyrna Tire Discounters because it was the closest place. They sold me a tire replacement and I paid for that and a front end alignment. 2 days later I went back because the car just didn't steer correctly. The steering wheel was never straight and the car kept pulling to the right. When I turned a corner I had to pull on the steering wheel to get it straightened up. Tried 3 times to go in for this issue but was told they were short staffed and there would be a long wait. Today I was there when the store opened, explained my issue and took a seat. 1 hour later my car hadn't been moved and the guy who wrote up the paper work informs me that the mechanic said mist likely it was the rack and pinion that needed replacing to the estimated cost of $900. Without even looking at the vehicle he had made this determination. I left and took my car to a reputable business and it was determined that the car needed a front end alignment. The car drives fine now but I've now spent another $100 because Tire Discounters (without looking at the car) wanted me to pay for rack and pinion replacement. I will NEVER go to or recommend Smyrna Tire Discounters ever again and feel that after 3 visits I should be given a refund for the wheel alignment that I paid for since they obviously didn't know what they were doing.
