Bought my granddaughter 4 tires before going to college, took back to rotate made an appointment. Took car in around 10 told us to come back around 3. Came back they didn’t know where car was, nor were the tires rotated. So even tho I had an appointment, nothing was done until after we returned, took another hour. Same thing happened to my husbands company work truck, took 2 weeks to get it in shop and fixed. Bought the tire road hazard, took in to fix, need a tire, nail was close to side wall. First person said it was cover but the lady manager said no because I bought under Thompson Tire not Thompson Tire Discounter? Most company’s honor previous sales/warranty not this place, needed to pay half. 4 terrible experience with this place which is a shame like to shop local. My special needs daughter and I were traveling through Virginia stopped for lunch and when we got back in the car my low pressure tire warning light came on. I knew we needed it checked because of the big drop in pressure. When I arrived at Thompson Tire, Teresa, immediately recognized a Mama in panic mode and a daughter who doesn’t like change without any words being spoken. She offered a nice, clean place to relax along with something to drink. Teresa and her team had us out and back on the road home in less than an hour. In an uncertain world when you have to be on alert and aware of your surroundings, especially in an unfamiliar town, we were truly blessed to land at Thompson Tire. We felt safe and prioritized but I know they make all their customers, local and travelers, feel that way because I witnessed it during our time there. Teresa and her crew are top notch! I got a flat tire just north of Radford driving south on 81 from Maryland to Erwin, Tenn. The AAA driver towed me to Thompson Tire, knowing I needed a new tire for the rest of my long trip. James and the staff were so welcoming and friendly, and they had the tire I needed. The replacement took less than an hour! On a holiday weekend! From the time I called in the flat to AAA until I was back on the road was 1 hour 45 minutes. Plus, James was kind and cheerful, which really helped me feel OK about the delay.
