I am giving them 5 stars even though they only did a consultation. I was in Ohio and was concerned about my wheel bearings. I had my car checked out at another shop near my home, before I left from Maryland, and was told that my wheel bearings were an issue along with some other things. I chose not to get the work done by the shop and instead tried to contact my brother in law because he is a mechanic but I couldn't get a hold of him before I had to leave. I took the chance and left because I had to. Once I got to my destination in Ohio I was concerned and thought maybe I could just get the bearings replaced while I was there. I took my car to Tire Discounters in Wilmington and they did a free consultation. Come to find out that the bearings were fine and though my car needed some work it wasn't as dire as it was made out to be when I was at home. Tire Discounters was honest and the manager even took me out into the shop to show and explain to me what needed to be done on my car. I was assured that I was safe to drive home without a problem. I was shocked to be honest because I was going in thinking I was going to have to drop a lot of money based on what the first shop told me and here it was not even needed. The first scenario is what tends to happen and the second is what I deeply appreciate - honesty!! However, my most recent visits for the past year have all been pleasant! I usually wait 45 minutes to an hour, but I think that is acceptable for the hour that I go without an appointment. The guys who have been working the front counter have been friendly to all customers and the mechanics seem professional. They gave me an honest opinion without trying to oversell. The waiting room is freezing, but other than that I have no complaints! Waited for well over an hour. There was one guy who was there before and after we left. The tech said we had a large screw in our tire that has leaked since it was purchased from Tire Discounters. He never showed us the screw. Again the staff was engaging. The building was nasty. The ceiling tiles, vents and lights were disgusting. My husband got a cup of coffee. It had floaters that comes from a filthy pot. The chairs were dirty, papers 3 weeks old laying around, and windows were nasty. Now I have been to sever TD including Beavercreek and those stores were clean.
