Honestly I’ve received the best overall (car) services @ TD’s , along with high-quality customer service as well. The staff offered to order me a Lyft or Uber ride without any cost to myself, and explained the upcoming car service in detail, so that I could understand it. I’ve been to Tire Discounters multiple times and have not been overcharged. I’ve decided to return for future car servicing, such as synthetic oil changes, with Tire Discounters because of this company’s total transparency and trustworthiness. - Rating 5.0April 9, 2017I'm from Cincinnati and had a flat moving in my daughter at OSU last Saturday, I could not get AAA in to where the car was due to all the roads being shut down. The wheel was stuck on the hub, finally I got it changed to the spare and the spare had low air, found a quarter air pump and headed to the closest Hillard, TD that was closing at 4 pm. So a very stressful day. I got there at 245 and the tire had a nail in it. Being a Cincinnati TD customer they fixed the tire for free and that was the best thing that happened all day. I opted to get Kemba tires in order to get their promotion for CBJ tickets. The day before I scheduled my appointment I called two separate times and talked to the same sales representative both times, Gordon. When I spoke with him I was very emphatic about the service I wanted done and that I wanted to get an oil change while I was there along with the purchase of my new tires. During each phone call I asked him to give me my price after all taxes and fees, my "out the door" cost. Both times he gave me the same answer. Upon picking up my car I was asked to pay approximately $50-$70 more than he had told me. Gordon was also the individual to ring me up. He stated that he told me my cost before the oil change. I clarified and told him about my phone calls to him and the conversation that we had. He ended up honoring the price that he quoted me over the phone. Oddly enough while I was checking out there was another young lady checking out who seemed to be having a very similar conversation about purchasing one tire for her vehicle. I knew what I wanted and they said ok we will get them as soon as we can. About 2 hours later I was on my way home. As I get home, I stand back from my car to see my brand new tires stand out. When I realized one of the rear tires was smaller. I looked at the size and yes it was smaller than the rest. I called and took my car back. Explained everything to the manager. He said "we take care of it". Done and done. Not only did they fix their mistake, the manager gave me a free oil change. Nice! I get my tires rotated and balanced here all the time. No issues. These tires after 2 yrs 1 month, I've put on about 50k miles. I took it here and said I needed to buy new tires soon. I checked at another TD and said I was fine for a couple more months. At the time my tires were around 5/32 and 4/32. I am going to see if I can get a warranty out of these tires as they have a 70k mile tread warranty. Overall this is a good location. They just hang the orders on the wall instead of handing them to a technician to work on. Steve is great and always takes care of me, but he was at lunch when I got there. They were extremely busy but still remained very courteous (Gordon) and spent a lot of time with me making sure I was getting exactly what I needed when I walked out of the store. The technicians that worked on my car were also extremely nice and spent time explaining to me why it is so important to my car's engine to keep up on regular oil changes even if I do mostly highway driving and use a blended oil. (Thanks for that) When I told him that they were under warranty and I would take them to get replaced by my mechanic, he told me that the parts were original (OEM) and that they could not have been replaced. I know for a fact they have been replaced 3 times. My car was a salvage car and it's been in 2 accidents after that. My mechanic, is also my roommate and close friend. I personal bought the tie rods and assisted in replacing them. I am a woman, but I am not clueless! Honesty is the best policy. He started by asking me questions around what I am looking to get out of the tire (comfort, grip, driving conditions, miles) and based on my answer he gave me honest advice on what tire would fit my personal needs best (not what is on the best sale or what he had in stock like most other tire companies). He could not have made things any easier and I scheduled my appointment. On the day of service, I dropped off my car and everyone was very friendly. They took care of everything as promised and I could not be happier with the interaction. Multiple customers arrived and left having their service completed in the time it took to complete my service. Other customers recieved updates on the progress of their vehicles while I had to ask numerous times about my vehicle. Near the end of my 4 hour wait the manager assured me that 3 people were working on my car like he was doing me a favor or something. Minutes later he asked me if I wanted my alignment checked "if I had time" after i already waited 4 hours, even though we had agreed that it would be checked when I arrived. The service was overpriced and slow. Workers were standing around doing nothing while I had to wait all that time. There is poor and incompetent managing and I don't recommend that ANYONE gets their vehicle serviced here.
