- Rating 1.0June 24, 2024We went in on Saturday June 22 2024. We ask to have the four tires we brought in put on my wheels and the old tires removed. We also ask for a rear end alignment (front end was never mentioned). We left my car and were told to come back around 3-3:30pm. I got a phone call that the wheels were too old to be put on (the date stamp on them is 23), but that was fine, I will get them done else where. We said fine just go ahead and do a rear alignment, was told okay no problem. Got there to pick up the car, was told that they were unable to align the rear end because there had been a safety recall, but they had aligned the front end. We never ask for or authorized the front end to be aligned the work was done without permission. The recall was supposedly for adjustable knuckles (rear toe link) that that allowed the rear end to adjusted, the fix (done by Ford) was a solid bar that doesn’t allow for alignment. I told them the back end fishtails in the rain, there has to be away for it to be aligned. They said for me to call Ford, which I did and Ford says the rear CAN be aligned. I should have got a call telling me that they couldn’t do the rear end alignment and then been able to pick up my car without being charged for work that was not ask for. Also I don’t believe a front end alignment was done or was done wrong, because to drive straight at this point my steering wheel has be turned. If my steering wheel is straight my car pulls to the right. Ford will be doing a full alignment on my car rear (because that is what was needed and now front to correct what you all screwed up). However, when a problem with my brakes caused a hole in one of my car's rims resulting in a flat tire and brake repair, I felt that I might not have been dealt with entirely fairly. They don't ask very many questions about your style of driving. They just assume they know the best tire for you. That's not the case at all. I know more about tires than these guys do. And I always have to help them find the part number that I need. Really nice guys though and I think they will help you out anyway they can.
