- Rating 2.0January 24, 2024Went in for an oil change and tire rotation. After I paid my bill, I looked at my tires and saw that a small scratch that was on my front passenger wheel was STILL on the front passenger wheel. I went back in and asked the person at the desk if my tires had been rotated. The person looked at the shop notes and said no, the technician said all the tires looked even. Have them rotated in 6,000 more miles.
I drive 400+ miles per week and rotate my tires every 5,000 miles religiously. Besides, it's my car and if I'm willing to pay for the tires to be rotated every 2,000 miles, then that's what the service center should do. What happened to the customer's always right? In addition, I wasn't told the tires weren't rotated until I specifically asked. I won't be going back to Thompson after many years of great service there. I can no longer trust Thompson to do what I ask and what is honest with my car, so I will go elsewhere from now on.Tire DiscountersJanuary 27, 2024Oh no, that doesn’t sound right! Take care and we will see ya again when you need us.Rating 1.0October 12, 2023My friend called on Monday to set up for axle replacement and tire alignment on his 1999 Toyota tacoma and was told to bring it in on Wednesday at 11am. The axle would be replaced at 11 the alignment at 1. We went back at 2:30 to pick it up and they had just took it in to start on it told us to come back in a couple hours. At 4 they called to tell him they broke his swaybar getting his axle out and was waiting on that part but it should be done by end of day. We get there at 5 and they proceed to tell us the wrong part was brought and he would have to leave the truck overnight the right part would be there at 8 the next day and the alignment and part should be installed by 11. He calls at 11 no it'll be late today. Go down there they hadn't touched the truck. Then after they finally put the part in they tell him more parts are bad and needed before they can align it. Now the truck drives awful and he still has to take it to a real garage to be fixed and to get the alignment and they charged him $477 for a sway bar, and to put in one axle that he brought himself a total rip off for what shoulda only been one or two hours worth of real work at best. Had the vehicle more than 24 hours. Businesses like this should be shut down for reaming poor people out of their hard earned money. Shame on you. And you didn't even do what what asked of you to do to the vehicle. Went in for inspection said i needed a new part and they would fix it but rejected it couldn't get the part or even give me the part number. I find the part on my own take it there to have it put on to pass inspection. Make an appointment on friday to do it monday. Drop it off before 9 and have to call at 445 to see what was done when come into pick it up they have no even redone the inspection. so i have to come back the next day and wait 45 min after that. They did not put 3 of the lug nuts back on, had to have nearby garage fix it. Could have cause me to have an accident on the interstate. When I picked up my car. I asked the mechanic Jim, was everything ok. He stated everything was good. The salesman Joseph Quiroz gave me back my keys and printed me a invoice. I asked the mechanic why the tire was wearing on the passenger side front tire. He stated he had not noticed. We walked outside to the car and I showed him where the tire was wearing. The tire was still in the same place. The mechanic had never rotated the tires. I asked him why he never rotated the tires, he stated he forgot. I complained to the Manager Jamie Arnold about it and she stated it was done that her and Joseph Quiroz had watched him rotate the tires. Although I knew nothing about them prior to my phone call to them. The general manager Jaime Arnold is very knowledgeable and efficient. I called needing 4 tires. ( yeah, I know 4). We were out of state and had tire issues. They had one and she called another location and had three more brought to the shop. The fellas, Kam And Max that changed everything out for us we’re fun and enjoy their job. It’s a blessing to find a shop where people actually take pride and responsibility for the job they do. - Rating 5.0April 28, 2023I can not say enough about how kind everyone is that works here. We were traveling from Pittsburgh to pigeon forge on a Friday and our tire blew out. Not a flat tire just annihilated the tire. It was 4:30 we got the donut on and I called and they close at 5:30 but they told me to come I was 6 mi away. We got there they had our size tire They told me not to worry they would get it fixed and we would be able to be on our way. An hour later that's exactly what happened. If they wouldn't have been willing to stay and take care of us we would have to get a hotel because there was nothing else open on a Friday evening. But it wasn't just the fact that they fixed the tire they were just very kind and pleasant. Thank you again. If I live close I would recommend you to everyone. We were promptly greeted by Joe and Ryan. Ryan was very knowledgeable about their tires and tires on the market and manufacturers. He explained and showed us the different tires. Due to his excellence in performance we decided to get brakes all around and oil change. Great deal. The technicians in the service bay area did a wonderful job. The car was test driven to meet their satisfaction. We are extremely pleased. Drives and turns beautifully and purrs like a kitten.
