Stay safe out there!Rating 1.0March 6, 2024I dropped my Truck off last night hoping to be one of the first vehicles that the team at Tire Discounters would look at outside of normal scheduled appointments. I made a phone call when the store opened today, letting them know that one of the tires had alerted me on my dash that the tire pressure was low. They told me that they should be able to look at it this am. I did call back at 11:00am to learn that they would be working on it soon.
When I had yet to get a reply after lunch as to the status, I was given a ride over to the store. I arrived at 1:00 pm and my truck still had not been looked at. It’s now after 2:00 and I was just told that they are going to pull someone off a job and look at it.
I saw a friend of mine that stopped by earlier today and had them look at a faulty sensor in his tire at 10:30 am, somehow they had time to get to him. He had come back as a sensor issue still had not been corrected. Since arriving, his issue was corrected and he was on his way. Not sure how many other people somehow were seen ahead of me being first in line.
I’m beginning to question where I should take my vehicles in the future. I like to use stores in my neighborhood and this store has put tires on 4 of my vehicles over the last couple of years along with several minor repairs and oil changes.
I guess I expect a little better level of customer service whether I’m the first time person to stop in or a repeat customer. She came in to only have her front headlight bulb replaced but was continuously pressured into additional services during the three hours she was there. And if pressuring her into additional services wasn't enough they then charged for with insane prices. To make matters worse, her car now sounds and drivers worse. It's very upsetting to see how fast and willing they were to take advantage over a girl because she isn't knowledgeable about cars and to preform such a horrible job. I then came into pay for it and they said , "No charge, let's get you back on the road." Or something to that extent. I was astonished. They got us in quickly and figured out the problem. It was close to 6 so they couldn’t fix it that day but worked on it all the next day until they got it done for us. They put a new battery on it and alternator. Only negatives besides it being too expensive and not understanding all of the bill, was that they didn’t change the battery terminal with the battery and it was badly needed and the gentleman knew it needed to be replaced. A couple of days after that coming back from Gaitlenberg my vehicle started acting funny and my lights were dimming and it was because this part wasn’t replaced. Not only that, I asked when they would be done, so I could run errands instead of waiting around, and when I came back at the designated time, they hadn't even looked at my car yet. No phone call or text, so I wound up waiting around for 30 minutes. What's the point of an appointment?!? And how hard is it to call?!? That's just common courtesy.
Finally, my tires weren't rotated - and the only way I found this out is by marking the tires and checking myself. After I returned to the store and called them out on it, they gave me some BS about the tires being too old.
Although I AM planning on getting new tires this month, guess where I WON'T be getting them from?
Definitely lost my business.
On the plus side, they were friendly. Of course, so is a politician: shaking your hand and reaching for your wallet with the other while spinning a yarn of complete B.S.
