Tony told me the tech advised I get a new alternator for $900 and told that's the dealership or. And I was already being quoted over $300 to get a new battery installed. This is where they messed up. They never asked for any history on my car for issues, and they flat out told me they couldn't get the battery to charge. I asked why they needed to charge a new battery? Did they put a new battery in the car and he said the alternator was allowing the new battery to charge. I paid to have my car towed somewhere else whatever I was told my alternator charges fine. I may be a woman, but I know you'd never pay to get an alternator replaced at a tire shop. A coworker suggested I take my car to Tire Discounters to have it patched as we work at Carabello Coffee and it is where we have our delivery van serviced. I've only ever taken my car to Honda as until recently it had been a lease, so I was a little nervous to go somewhere else but I didn't want to have to go to Honda because I needed it repaired fast and Honda always takes a week to get into and 2 hours to do ANYTHING.
Let me tell you, I was BLOWN AWAY by the friendliness of the Tire Discounters service guys. I felt way more comfortable as a female in an auto place than I ever have at Honda--meaning, they listened to me and didn't try to upsell me on anything, which I always expect. They got my car in right away and my tire was patched in like, no joke, 15 minutes. If that wasn't amazing enough, it was FREE because it was my first visit there! WHAT! Will I be back to Tire Discounters? Well, I hope not soon because I don't want any more screws in my tires...but, YES! Next time I need something done I will 100% be going back!!! I work at the Panera Bread in Newport and the night before I came out to see I had a flat tire. After trying for hours to remove a "lock bolt" from my tire, I gave up and drove back down and had AAA have a go at it, but still I had no luck. I drove my car over to tire discounters and they were closing, but one of the employees (he had red hair I believe) came out and had me pull my car in to take a look at it. After trying for a few minutes, he was able to remove the lock bolt and he even changed my tire for me. I have worked in customer service for years and this really was outstanding customer service, and has made me a huge fan of this company. Immediately, I got off the highway to find an air hose. I was having trouble locating a machine to fill the tire myself when I noticed the Tire Discounters store. I was in a rush, now late for work and pressed for cash. Hoping they would allow me to just fill my tire without an appointment at a minimal cost I pulled into the lot.
I approached the closest tech I could find and told him my delima, before I could finish he told me to pull my car over and he'd take care of it. He took a quick look and told me I do have a slow leak after filling my tire and refusing to take any cash, not even a tip!!
I live on the other side of the river but I am going to make arrangements to visit this location to have my tire serviced, all because David was there October 1st to save my morning!

AAA could not arrive until 6:53pm to change my tire for me. I called Tire Discounters to see how late they would be open. They said 7pm and that if they were still there they would take me. I called at 5 till 7 and asked if they would be there in 10 minutes to fix my flat and they said they would. I was there by 7:10. The hole was too big to plug and Anthony had a new tire put on my car and had me out the door (I had purchased the tires there and also purchased "peace of mind"). They all worked together to figure out how to turn on my tire indicator light. They were amazing and I am truly thankful they fixed my tire. Anthony and company did not have to wait for me or even take me after hours. The manager told me "that's what we are here for!". THANK YOU TIRE DISCOUNTERS!
