- Rating 2.0July 1, 2024I regret having to post a negative post about Tire Discount. Unfortunately, our most recent interaction with them was extremely disappointing. We had a slow leaking tire on our one month old tires we just purchased through this company. When I was checked in I reported the passenger rear tire had a slow leak. They worked all day to find the leak. Finally deciding they needed to keep the tire over the weekend. As I was driving the car home I noticed that there was no pressure showing on the driver’s side rear tire. That’s when I realized they had not written down the correct tire. Went back Monday morning to drop the car off. Immediately the mechanic greeted us and admitted and took responsibility for the mix up. If only we could have ended it that way. But no, when we picked it up Monday night , Joe the manager, went out of her way to tell me that I told her the left rear tire. (This is not the terminology I use) There was just no reason to stir everything up after the mechanic had defused the situation. Joe is NOT an asset to this company. Fortunately they did not charge us for the tire repair especially after all the mix up. They even took tires off the shelf and outside to compare height. My center caps had stripped out screws and informed me they couldn't balance the tire/rim because of it, they expertly removed the broken screws without damaging my rims and informed me every step of the way! Since I purchased tires, they offer a free alignment, the alignment tech showed me what was wrong and made all the necessary adjustments to get my truck tracking straight and true. The waiting area was nice and clean with multiple t.v.s, drinks, snacks, and cameras in the shop so you can watch the service technicians work. They called us and told us they couldn't do the alignment bc his truck needed new wheel bearings and a couple other things and gave us a quote for repairs and told us they would do the alignment after we had those things taken care of, never did they pressure us to have these things done there. After paying we had to wait an extra 5 minutes while they were cleaning my husbands wheels which were VERY dirty. As we were leaving I heard the gentlemen that was cleaning the wheels apologize to my husband for taking a little longer and said he just wanted to do a good job, NEVER have I been told that anywhere! First of all I've had many sets of tires in my past and never have they cleaned the wheels after anywhere else but that employee saying that just shows they try to strive for excellence!
