I waited until the absolute last mile to go on my warranty requirements so I was very stressed about not getting my oil changed the same day. However since John has been gone (Nov 22) this store’s customer service is terrible (except for Taylor). There is a rude almost condescending attitude prevalent, appointments and deadlines are routinely disrespected, phone calls and follow ups are non existent. Yesterday’s pick up was a day and a half late, the work was and remains incomplete (with no notification). However they did find a way to bill us $30 a piece (plus labor) for spark plugs on the shelf at auto zone for $10. You all need to “right your ship” or we’re leaving it. Made an appointment online ahead of time…didn’t help. Still took 2 1/2 hours. Not even 2 months later, 1 of the so called brand new tires has a bulge in it. Daughter calls, they tells her to come in within 20 mins. She gets there at 11:50 am - she told them prior to coming and again once she arrived she had an appointment and must be done before 2!! She only had 1 tire to be changed out -they told her she should be in and out within an hour. 2 hours and 10 mins later she finally left! They did not test drive the car after putting the tire on and decided to use her car and issue as training for the new guy even after she clearly stated she had another appointment to get to. They also stated they “aligned” the tire - you can’t align 1 tire….and it’s clearly pulling to one side. Bravo for substandard service…and still changing for the substandard service when it’s far longer than what was promised. THEN , advising it would be another $75 to add hazard warranty when I paid less than $25 for each tire less than a month ago. Spent nearly 4 hours each visit waiting even with an appointment each time. Then had to take one car back because the balance was off and the guy acted like he was doing me a favor fixing it saying I'm not gonna charge you for this... Gee thanks. Again another 4 hour wait for them to fix their screwup!! Then today my wife cut a tire and they charged more for the one tire than I paid initially and charged for 30 for the recounting and then charged her 30 for a road hazard that I will never use since it's on 1 tire and not on all four so they will say that it may not be the warranties tire if we ever cut another. Than they gave her a 5 dollar discount because she's a school employee!!! I don't ask or expect much from service company's and at least this company met that but would have expected at least some kinda break from a company that you've been loyal to. We will see ya again when ya need us.Rating 1.0July 16, 2021The Wilmington store has created what should have been a simple alignment appointment into an absolute nightmare for me that is still going on a week later and I can’t seem to get anyone to contact me back with answers. The store manager Rafael, refused to do an alignment for me unless I bought 2 new tires. I told him I hadn’t budgeted for that and asked for multiple other options and he kept refusing to do the alignment unless I bought tires. I reluctantly did it so I could get the alignment but then I lodged a complaint on the website but received no response. I called and finally got a reply and the lady was helpful forwarding my information along. I took the car back the next day and got my old tires put back on and was supposed to get a refund however it is now a week later and I have no idea the status of the refund and can’t get answers from anyone about, how much it was for, if it got processed, the status of it, when it should hit my card, nothing. I emailed the lady I had been working with and yesterday had no response so I called a director who contacted me after I spoke with her and he told me to call the store. I called the store 3 1/2 hours ago and Rafael was busy with a delivery so another gentleman took my message and said he would have Rafael get back in touch with me but still no response as if writing this. I sent a follow up email to the lady and now get a failure to deliver notice. This store forced me to give them $400 more than the service I requested and now that the additional work has been reversed, which I took off work early to accommodate for them thinking it was the right thing to do, an entire week later, no transaction has hit my payment method, there are no pending transactions and no one can seem to provide me any answers or details. My recommendation for anyone is to stay far away from dealing with this store, there are much better service stations you can go to in Wilmington who believe in not taking advantage of customers, I failed by not going to one of them. Now it seems that I will need to keep chasing the money that this company owes me back and as far as I know, I will need to do it indefinitely as no one can seem to be bothered to respond with information on it. On my last visit, they replaced a rear wheel bearing. I feel they went above and beyond what with the "Skip the Shop Valet" service, and the fact that the job took them a few more hours than their work order said it should, yet they only charged me what they originally quoted. I'm a completely happy customer with a job well done. I will, and have, recommended this store to anyone I know needing mechanic work. Thank you to John and his crew. I believe they forgot to refill the radiator and as a result my motor over heated and was damaged beyond repair. When I made Mr. Smith aware that as a result of their error my motor was damaged; they accepted responsibility and said they would notify their company insurance adjuster.
