- Rating 2.0March 27, 2024My family and I have been using the TD on Wooster Pike for 15+ years and always been satisfied. My recent appointment to have 4 summer tires I purchased from TD installed and my winter tires removed was awful. Told them I had to wait when scheduled the appointment. Took 3 hours. When I intermittently got up to look in on things rarely was anyone working on the car. No explanation or real apology was given. When the car was finally ready the winter tires were not in the vehicle. When I asked Chelsea where they were she “Oh, they are in the bay waiting for you to come back and pick them up - they won’t fit in your car.” So I had to back up near the bay and load all 4 into the car (they fit easily). The service and communication are bad right now over there and I am not sure I, or any of my family, will be returning. Chelsey was speaking with a difficult customer who clearly was in the mood for an argument. Chelsey was tremendously professional and courteous the entire exchange. After the customer left, I explained my battery situation. Unable to pull into the bay due to a now dead battery, she came out to the lot and determined I had a bad cell. Within minutes, another employee was replacing my battery in the parking lot. All three of the team I interacted with (Chelsey and 2 others) were friendly and helpful. I could see if it was a major repair but I simply needed my differential oils changed and my transfer case oil changed. They told me my tires were dry rotted and I should replace them immediately because the others could blow out too. I immediately drove to Tire Discounters in Wooster Pike, in Cincinnati, Ohio. I waited until they opened and told the manager what had happened. He told me they could get me in immediately. I was so relieved.
I bought 4 new tires and was on my way. This is the 3rd set of tires I have bought from Tire Discounters in the last 6 years. The service is impeccable. The employees are polite, knowledgeable and professional. I will continue to do business with Tire Discounters. They repaired the hole and rotated the tires for me in a timely manner. It was a busy day as it was a holiday weekend, but they were expeditious and accurate on their time estimate. The waiting room in friendly, clean, and even has work area with charging station. Brandon is an excellent store manager and we are lucky to have him at this location. I have been coming to this location with my family since I was a child, and have been a customer here myself for decades. The service is always exemplary. I have dealt with Frank for a long time and he is such as asset to this company-extremely knowledgeable and personable with every customer. He moves at the speed of light and no matter how busy the store is you always feel like your job is the most important one. Sometimes just sitting in the waiting room I wonder how the team manages being so busy but they are always calm and in control and make it look like a piece of cake managing so many things at once. As soon as I see Frank in the store I know everything is going to go great.
Dave is just as amazing and customer focused. The last time I was there he met with each client in the waiting room and explained their service/tire issue in depth. He brought out the air filter to one client and explained that the filter was fine and did not need to be changed-he wanted the customer to know in case in the future another shop tried to sell him a filter he didn’t need. He explained that it was a carbon air filter, the color makes them look dirty and how to tell when they really need to be changed. Of course the rest of us all listened and felt like we learned something. When it came time look at my car he answered my many tire questions and explained everything to me- again these people each make it seem like your car is the most important one in the building. It’s clear that they love what they do and it’s important to them that you understand your car and how to maintain it properly. The dealer where my car is usually repaired pales in comparison to this level of customer service. TD knocks it out of the park.
The last time I was there I also dealt with William who was great, and Matt, I don’t think it’s his usual store but he was awesome also. Everyone here always is and it is easy to take for granted that because the service is always beyond perfect. Thank you TD for everything you do.Tire DiscountersApril 12, 2017Wow, Shannon.
